My Voice Experience

This is opportunity knocking. Fresh out of the Percussion Institue where I participated in a self directed program involving box cutters, cartgraphy, and compass reading; for finding my own way. Minor in percussion- instrumental for marching to own drum. Attained a degree of understanding. Classes are actually ongoing and involve graduating degrees of understanding, patience and enlightened humour.

Which means that you have the amazing luck of finding raw talent - that hasn't been shaped in any rigid fashion - but is ready to take on any challenge without complaining that isn't the way its supposed to be done!

My Training

Please refer to my experience. I haven't taken any formal classes in voice over...yet I'm open to direction. My experience has involved every day jobs - such as reception - where I'm asked to perform the role of energetic and vivacious office centerpiece - over the phone - to use my calm and warm voice to defuse anger - and in conducting research surveys - I've used my voice to keep people on the phone. As a counselor and rape crisis line volunteer, my voice has been used to keep others calm, to establish trust, and initiate rapport.

I've been told my voice is like a port in a storm. Others tell me the only reason they stayed on is because I sound just like their daughter - or conversely - super sexy so that they just wanted to stay on and hang on my every word then at the end, ask me to dinner, on a cruise, for my hand in marraige, or to be their love slave.

I've been told I should be a phone actress, and indeed I have... and was able to do what is so difficult for most in these positions - keep callers on the line - chatting - I think they forget the real reason they called and get enticed into talking to me - telling me about their day, their problems, their hopes and dreams.

I'm open to all kinds of work however, my favourite job in the past was as counselor - where I partnered with clients to empower healthy balance, indentify behaviors and make positive changes. I would love to make hypnosis cd's or do voice overs for companies to promote healthy change.
