My Voice Experience

Most of my experience has been with radio and TV commercials. Regularly, I am the voice for Becker Furniture World, which is the largest furniture store in MN. I also voice teenage-sounding spots for the clothing store Plato's Closet. I do a lot of on-hold and in-store messaging for pharmaceutical companies. And I love to do characters, from the overtly sexy to the silly and cartoonish.

My Training

I started by working in radio, and then began doing voice work and singing jingles for a local production company. In the past I have done some theatre and occasionally sing with a band. I studied communications in college as well. Differences in voice and inflection have always fascinated me, and I try to mimic everything I hear.

Additional Skills

I have worked in radio or communications for the past 8 years, and done more extensive voice over projects in the past 3 years, especially. Now, I work full-time, but only part-time in the office. I stay at home and work out of a studio there so that I can be home with my baby daughter. This means my schedule is very flexible, and I can have very quick turn-arounds. And all the baby talk has really enhanced my cartoon character capabilities, I think!
