Voice Description

My voice has been described as soothing and warm. Most times it's been called sexxy.

My voice goes over well on the microphone. It sounds strong but not over powering.

I also can be very silly and I guess the voice is a big part of making people laugh. I can sound goofy or sometimes I'll imitate a voice and that seems to crack people up (coupled with the topic I'm on).

My Voice Experience

I was the president of a community group. I've had a press conference, I've spoken at the podium many times and at rallies to help get things started up.

I also was an assistant to a professor of public speaking and was chosen to help the students (18yrs old -40yrs old) with the inflections used.

The recordings I've done have been at jobs like Verizon in Paterson NJ, I worked there as a repair technician. I worked on the phones alot. I was also a Take Over Agent. TOA's normally were chosen to calm down the client, I was chosen for my voice and listening skills.

My Training

I've taken theatre over the years.
Drama classes were useful and fun.
But I shine at reading for others.
I've had plenty of unofficial training reading for different age groups for schools in Paterson and other groups of people like parents and the staff.

Additional Skills

I have worked for 2-1-1 in New Jersey. This is a phone job and people call in homeless, jobless, etc. They merged with a suicide hotline and I was one of the 1st to get a call from a suicidal individual. I was commended for the way I handled the call. I controlled the call without changing my tone while still getting the individual calmer and keeping the lines open long enough to get numbers of people that could actually help him with the problems.

I volunteered as a Listener at college for students stressed out and was allowed to give stories not to make suggestions. This lead the client to pretty much answer their own questions.

As I mentioned before I worked for Verizon's repair department and I had much training there. They actually give classes on dealing with irate people and listening and tone is 90 percent of the solution for the callers. Then of course they want their phone fixed yesterday still!!
