Voice Description

My voice and I are 18 years of age, thus I currently can pull off both the voice of a young man and that of an adult. I possess a deep, baritone style voice that overflows with authority, yet at the same time is warm. I grew up in a Pakistani household in western America, thus I learned to speak Urdu and English simultaneously and can speak each in their natural accent.

I am completely comfortable in speaking deeply in a manner I would deem most appropriate for narrations, and also in what I call a "smoky" voice for use in commercials. I feel my voice is professional sounding when I need it to be, but also can be as casual as talking to a friend. I am interested in working on the radio, in commercials, doing on-hold messages and other phone related voice concerns.

My Voice Experience

My voice can make you buy something you absolutely do not need. I have no official voice acting experience, but countless people have mentioned how I would be fantastic as "one of those people in commercials." Several times, strangers, upon hearing me speak, have approached me and echoed these sentiments. I currently work my first job at Macy's (in Monterey, CA, since June 20, 2006), and nearly every day someone mentions the uniqueness of my voice.

My Training

I have never had any official training other than speaking with people, in which I have 18 years experience. Just recently, I participated in a year long choir in which I sharpened my ability to articulate words quickly, as well as to control the amount of ambient air leaving my mouth.
