Voice Description

If you asked my parents, they'd tell you I started talking at 9 monhts and never shut up. (And, sorry for them, that's pretty accurate). Being gifted with the gab has lent itself to a natural proclivity for voice-overs.

I am a dynamic voice over talent. I am able to voice a young person in a cartoon as well as a sexy/flirty woman selling diamonds or cars. Other voice-overs I have done are energetic and upbeat, perfect for cosmetic and youth-oriented products. I do have a sense of humor, lending my voice over talent to quirky as well as deadpan comedic roles.

As a voice actor, I am also capable of more straight-forward, smooth tones for presentations, instructional podcasting, PSAs, and audio books.
I can voice an authentic-sounding New York accent, a California "Valley Girl," as well as a British accent. As the daughter of a speech therapist, I speak very clear and proper English.

My Voice Experience

I have done voiceover jobs for Paul Harris, director of promos at HBO in New York City, and I have been the voice of Prentice Hall Textbooks on the web (8th grade science with lots of toungue-twisting words). My demo includes samplings of commercial voice-over work.

My Training

BA from Northeastern University (Boston, MA)
Double major: Theatre Performance and Communications Radio/TV Broadcast and Production.

I studied singing as well as vocal production all 4 years. My theatre degree taught me how to be a voice actor technically and emotionally, where my communications degree taught me what points in the copy are most important to sell the product or idea.

Shakespeare & Company (Lenox,MA) Monthlong Intensive, extensively studying Linklater Voice Technique with renowned teacher Tina Packer.

In NYC I've continued my Linklater Voice training with Daniella Varone, Susan Main, and Margaret Jansen. Other acting coaches include: Anthony Abeson, Sondra Lee, and Karen Kohlhaas.

I NYC I've studied voiceover technique with Paul Harris, and Steve Harris, and singing with Marianne Wells.

I've also attended numerous commercial classes in NYC. I am currently studying acting with Larry Singer and voice with Susan Main.

Additional Skills

I am a sharp, witty young woman with a great intuitive sense. I take direction very well and often have a good sense of how the copy was intended to be voiced. I am flexible and always willing to try another way.
