My Voice Experience
In 1975, Magic Brush Car Wash in Waco, Texas paid me $25 to imitate Mae West on a radio spot. Now voiceovers are what I do for a living. Who knew?! I have the best job in the world!
I wrote and edited copy for WHBQ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee, and was their announcer for locally-tagged spots.
In Little Rock, Arkansas I spent many an early morning at radio station B98.5 - researching, writing and announcing news broadcasts while playing straight-woman to funny on-air personalities.
I am a regular on the stage have been since the early 1980s. I also have several stage directing credits.
Among other performing arts jobs, I've sung and danced on riverboat cruises, emceed at fundraising galas and delivered singing telegrams (NOT one of my favorite jobs). I've been a first-person living history actor and appeared in live and televised murder mysteries. I've got numerous on-camera spots under my belt, as well as a few films.
