My Voice Experience

15 years in the broadcast industry, in the UK and Europe.

Voiceovers:

TV commercials, ads and promos including Ryvita, Britannia Building Society and health campaign for UK Government. Allis was chosen for the latter after being voted the most believable voice in a related audience survey. Allis has been one of the main writer and announcers on BBC Television, mainly for BBC1, as well as other channels doing continuity as well as promos. She also read the iconic Shipping Forecast on BBC Radio 4 and for more than a decade has been a voice on BBC World Service in presentation, news, continuity and promos. She also does corporate work including film and corporate narration, talking books, telephone messages eg Japan airlines and audio manuals. As a presenter in the UK, Allis has worked across material and styles from BBC talk to commercial station music and phone-ins. She did Radio 1 for three years at weekends and was the news presenter and idekick' on Radio 5's award-winning breakfast show. She also presents for some foreign channels as she speaks fluent French (with an English accent!)including Radio France International and Euranet. In the UK she's presented on well-known commercial stations like LBC in London.

Journalism and reporting: International english-language stations across Europe currently Network Europe on Euranet as their UK correspondent, Deutswelle English TV on British news, Sky News from Paris and RFI in Paris presenting programmes and documentaries on world music, culture, health, sport and news.

BBC Radio 4. A contributor to high profile programmes like 'From Our Own Correspondent' and 'Loose Ends'. Also news on local radio including regional BBC, The Coast, Splash and many more.
