Voice Description
I have a very professional sound, as I worked in the insurance business for a number of years. I studied business and professional speaking as part of being an Accounting Major at the University Of North Carolina at Greensboro.
I am incredibly gifted in voice impersonations, accents and dialects. I have spoken with an Aussie dialect since 1984, and a British dialect since 1979. My Dad taught my brother and I an Irish dialect, as he knew an Irish immigrant growing up and picked it up rather well.
Some of the voices I do include Bugs Bunny, JFK, Russell Crowe, Darth Sidious, and others too many to list here. My dialects include Australian, Irish, British, Scottish, Polish, Russian and American Regional, particularly the South and Kennedy style New England.
My normal voice is an unaffected Midwestern dialect, as I am originally from Iowa and moved to Southern California from St. Louis. I have the good ear for dialects as a result of having lived in 5 different states.
I discovered in 1995 that I have a strong singing voice as well. I sing Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Harry Connick, Jr. and the Moody Blues, along with standards from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
I have studied voice over with Harvey and Cathy Kalmenson, and singing with Ms. Jessica Sands (singer and daughter of singer Tommy Sands).
The best description I have for my voice is that it is commanding yet compassionate. My vocal range is from baritone to tenor.
I have worked as a volunteer for the LA Recording For The Blind And Dyslexic, as well as the LA Radio Reading Service.
