Voice Description

My voice is strong and commands comfortable authority. It can be fun and light but not comedic. It is clear and distinct with or without a trace of regional accent. I project well and have a pitch and clarity heard well by people with hearing problems. I have studied French and German and lived in England and have an ear for accents. My children enjoy my playing a variety of character roles when reading stories to them in which I give various accents to characters based on their physical description or attitude.

My Voice Experience

I am a protestant minister and teach or preach to groups ranging in size from 12 to 1200. Sometimes a sound system is available and sometimes it is unavailable. I currently record my sermons and store them on a computer with digital wave technology. I am also a former business professional and have given speeches and marketing presentations to large and small groups of corporate officers. I have been in small theater productions, most recently "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder.

Additional Skills

People teel me they like to hear my voice speaking or reading out loud. When visiting people who are in hospitals or shut in due to illness or disability, I am told that my voice comforts them. People have told me that during all the time they were in the hospital, the thing they remembered most was my voice.
