Professional and consultative. I do particularly well with spots that are detail oriented and/or information intensive. I do very well with sales or other presentations. I can sound like I'm in my early 20's with a very light, casual tone (most of my demo), or I can extend to a very low and dark sound in either a smooth pillow-talk type mode, or in a bolder, more imposing style and older sounding. I'm a degreed singer with a wide range. I have impersonated cartoon characters since childhood and can do some impressions of existing cartoon characters or create new ones.

My Training

I was trained in VO by Kate McLanaghan and her team at Sound Advice/Big House Casting in Chicago. Her training program is objective and comprehensive. This program is rare in the industry and advises talent on vocal technique in the booth as well as effective VO business and promotional practices outside the booth. The training is not anecdotal or subjective but thorough and challenging.

As well, I have degree in voice performance from the University of Michigan. I studied with the great opera singer Shirley Verrett. I also studied choral conducting and rehearsal technique. This gives me a strong foundation of self direction in the booth.
