My Voice Experience

Working as a producer allows Alicja to deliver the voice overs that clients want. Through producing commercial spots and promos, she can understand the needs of the client, the big picture, and what production truly entails, allowing her meet the needs of her clientele from the unique perspective of both producer and voice talent. Alicja has high professional standards and fully understands the concept of meeting tight production deadlines. She has over 10 years of media experience behind her, in various capacities, and has done voice work for sponsorship campaigns, commercials and high-energy promos, virtual tours and corporate video narrations as well as news and traffic reads in radio.

My Training

A passion for words started Alicja on the path to broadcasting. A major in English at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, lead to the Journalism Print and Broadcast Program at the Humber College School of Media Studies, in Toronto, from which Alicja graduated with Honours in 1998. She started working at Toronto's number one 24-hour news radio station even before graduation, working both on-air and in production. A love of the technical and creative aspects of broadcasting drew Alicja to a production job in television, producing advertising shows for various cities in Ontario. That, in turn, lead to her current role as a producer at a national Canadian television station. In the last few years, Alicja has taken voice over lessons with one of the industry's leading voice professionals in order to expand her range and voice over talent. Alicja regularly provides voice over services to the company which currently employs her as a producer, through her own company, Alicja Parlak Media Services. A passion for the spoken word fuels Alicja's drive to excel in the field of voice overs and she continues to spend as much time as possible in front of the mic in order to further grow as a voice talent and exceed her clients' expectations.
