Voice Description

My natural voice is a vey English accent. What might be described as the Queen's English with a Home Counties accent. It is a rich and full accent. My own accent would probably suit documentaries, both light hearted and serious ones. My voice is versatile and I am able to produce most British and European accents, as well as some others including various forms of the London accent, Newcastle, Liverpool, The West Country, Yorkshire, Northern and Southern Irish, various forms of the Welsh accent, various forms of the Scottish accent, French, Spanish, German, Italian, South American Spanish, South African, Japanese, Australian, Indian, Jamaican. With most of the accents I am able to produce them in several different tones, ie scary, seductive, angry, excited, scatty. I am comfortable doing most accents in both high and low key.

My Voice Experience

I have no actual voice over experience, however I have done a lot of public speaking and acting.

My Training

Through studying politics and law at both A-level (Farnborough Sixth Form College) and degree level (University of Greenwich) I have had much experience of speaking publicy and hence have learned skills in voice projection, change over in tone for emotive effect, articulating clearly and without mistakes. I feel that these skills, coupled with an extensive number of appearances in amateur plays have given me vital training in using voice effectively.
