My voice is deep, mellow, distinctive and quite flexible. A broadcast journalist (Metromedia-NBC-Hearst) I've also done (and do) commercials, industrial narrations, documentary narrations and interviews, and infomercials. The voice has considerable range. It can be lightened or darkened at will. It can convey warmth and friendship, or menace. Most of all it contains a solid core of gravitas: it is believable.

My Voice Experience

For many years I was the chief radio correspondent for NBC News, a position that took me all over the world on a variety of assignments. Subsequently, and while working for the Hearst Corporation as a radio news anchor and commentator, I branched out into the commercial, industrial and educational fields. I've done everything from standard spot announcements to hours-long documentaries andf infomerials for such clients at the Port of Baltimore, the Maryland Historical Society, the Chesapeake Bay Oyster Recovery Program, NBC News, and the National Guard Association of the United States

My Training

My credentials are based, primarily, on a lifetime of experience. I learned on the job and, in recent years, have taught a variety of mass media and public peaking courses at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.

My Studio Equipment

I have full access to the studios and equipment of WBAL Radio and Television in Baltimore.

Additional Skills

I am able to perform both on an off camera although, admittedly, my age would require on-camera assignments that require a "mature" presence.
