Voice Description

I consider myself very fortunate to have have been blessed with good ears & a flexible voice. As a singer I can function equally well as both a Baritone & a Tenor. Some say my "phone voice" is exceptionally smooth. Probably a hold-over from my call center days back in corporate land. I have studied French, Italian, Spanish & Russian, but am no longer fluent. However, my dialects are in fine shape & also include RP (British), Scottish, German, Southern, NY, Texan & Cajun. I have a strong ear for dialects & am a pretty quick study. If you need a specific accent or dialect, I can typically get to the passable point within a week's time -- AS LONG AS I HAVE FINAL COPY WITH WHICH TO WORK!!!

My Voice Experience

I love acting On-Camera & on Stage! I came to Voice Acting with extensive (25+ yrs) studio experience as a Vocalist & Musician. I produced my VO demos at home on the same PC I use for my Music work. Total time from concept to completion, was approximately 12 hours, over 2 days. Please have a listen; your comments are welcome!

My Training

Actually, it was a Voice Over class that led me to acting. At the time, I was so excited at the prospect of doing on hold messages, voice mail greetings & commercials that it never even occurred to me to explore other options. The instructor of the VO class was also an acting coach & invited me to take a group class at no charge. Needless to say, one class was all it took; I was completely hooked! Since then I have studied with the following folks: David Ahearn, Molli Benson, Debbie Booth, Joe Chapa, Michele Condrey, Elizabeth D’ Onofrio, Juli Erickson, Jet Eveleth, Jean Everton, Beau Golwitzer,Charna Halpern, Ann Healy, Grant James, Terry Martin, Bentley Mitchum, Glenn Morshower, Josh Roberts, Jake Schneider & David Wilk.

Additional Skills

I spent 12 years working in Technical Customer Support so I do well with a wide variety of technical copy. As a career Musician and Vocalist I have extensive knowledge of many musical genres and can speak authoritatively about them. I've also learned that my musicality helps me find the hidden rhythm in text. This has proven to be a valuable tool in short-format applications, such as Commercials.
