My Training

Alan's career as a voice over artist really began at the tender age of eight. He discovered that doing the dishes after family meals was less boring if he made a "radio show" out of the chore. He used to ride his bike around the neighborhood for hours, playing "bus driver",calling out the names of the imaginary stops. He even announced assorted bits of fruit on his spoon, while eating fruit salad.... much to his parents’ chagrin!
His first job in radio was at age 16, leading to fulltime work for the next 10 years at both radio and TV stations in the Midwest, including such voice services as DJ, sportscaster, puppeteer, weather forecaster, and straight announcer.
A highlight of Alan Forester’s career was as narrator/spokesman for a series of video presentations to the U.S. Congress, sponsored by N.A.S.A. to encourage funding for future space programs.
