humor, serious, fun, great voice & face for radio
i have a very pleasant, middle-range voice which is very flexible. i've been told by dozens of respectable people that my voice would be great for radio listeners, but i've never pursued it as even a hobby.
now that i'm retired, i'm open for things like this, as long as travel outside my area isn't part of it.
i took french in high-school, and while i can't claim fluency, if a french accent for a character is needed, i can do that fairly well and i can pronounce words in french if i need to.
i've used amusing voice sounds and humor in my presentations and have had a lot of success with ad-libs, too.
i've done technical [computer marketing] presentations for decades and also worked in electronics [semiconductors] for 14 years. i'm fine with technology and technical terms and presentations.

My Voice Experience
i've done voice-overs for training videos at my last employer, several computer divisions of Hewlett-Packard and i'm familiar with a wide range of technical areas, from electroncs to computers and the web.
i've done customer presentations for two major companies in my working career, presenting product information from groups ranging from just a few up to dozens of attendees. i've also appeared on HP's internal tv training network for some new product introductions, though i'd need some practice to get in the groove of talking to the one with the red light on.
as i said, i've got more of a voice AND face for radio/audio than video.
no formal classes, but presentations to customers over audio and video links and in person for most of my 34 years in business.
i've studied humor in college and used it in my customer and business-internal presentations.
My Studio Equipment
hp mediacenter pc with cd and dvd writers, pc webcam.
looking for donation or help to choose a good microphone for home pc use.
comfort with technical terms and scientific information may be of use to my clients, but the real measure is to hear my voice and decide if it's right for you.
i've never taken voice training, but 1 may turn out to be an inexpensive way for you to achieve YOUR goals.
how about a start with voiceover jobs or voicemail or on hold messages or greetings?
