Voice Description

I have a soothing and calming voice which is EXCELLENT for radio and narrations, and I'm often complimented on my speaking ability. My primary language is English (American), but I can portray a "fair" English (British) accent. My voice is also VERY professional and is great for commercials, but it can be used for fun purposes as well.

My Voice Experience

Even though I don't have lots of experience doing voiceover work, I have participated in some activities where my voice was extensively used. For example, I was a weekly volunteer reader in a radio broadcast for the visually impaired, where I read articles of interest from newspapers and magazines. I was also a weekly announcer for my former church organization, where I read the weekly announcements over the pulpit to approximately 1500 people. In addition, my voice was used to record several voice mail greetings for churches and other small business. Lastly, I am presently employed as an IS Training Specialist in a law firm located in downtown Chicago where I routinely use my voice in a classroom setting.

My Training

I attended college at Western Illinois University where I received a B.S. in Computer Science. Even though I do not have any "formal" training in doing voice over work, I've been involved in some form of public speaking for several years. Also, since my current occupation as an IS Training Specialist requires me to speak to groups of people on a regular basis, I believe I have honed my speaking skills to a more than acceptable level.
