Voice Description

I am very adaptable at customizing my voice to the listener. For example if they speak slower, I speak slower or more professional for business presentations. I also listen for regional accents, such as a Southern accent, and try to put them at ease. This means I have developed flexibility in this area. My clients often compliment me on the sound of my voice. For a description, I like to think of my voice as an instrument of communication in just about any capacity.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Living in the Utah, there are a lot of call centers here. By working the call centers, I have had quite a bit of exposure to callers from all over US and Canada. As a result, I have an ear for accemts.

My best talent is for the Southern accent.
Secondly that would be the New York/New England accent.

My Voice Experience

I have had experience on both sides of voiceovers. For practical experience, I have had four years of working on incoming phone calls. Also I have done voicemail greetings for a past employer.

In college, for my internship I wrote voiceovers at a local television station.

My Training

My training for voiceovers would have to be my four years of incoming phone call experience. I also think that my choir activity would be a positive factor in keeping my vocal instrument excercised.
Additionally the performing arts has always intrigued me.
