Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Cultured, educated, slightly stuffy semi-British colonial accent, Malaysian English or Manglish accent, Singaporean English or Singlish accent, generic American, unplaceable (no strong regional ties), Asian English-educated accent, send-ups of other accents if needed. I default to a generic English-speaker with an unplaceable accent (the "educated Asian" accent) that is vaguely British and vaguely American.

My Voice Experience

I pronounce the Mandarin words for Lexxica. Other non-paid spot jobs done but on an amateur level. I narrated an 8000-word story (fanfiction written by someone else) using only my laptop and Audacity. It is not professional by any stretch, but I used a lot of different voices and accents in it, and it allowed me to get an idea of what a sound engineer's job is like.

My Training

I have a BA in Politics with a minor in Math. I spent all three years of my college education in choir, including two years in the exclusive audition-only chamber choir. I took three years of voice lessons as well. My singing voice is rich and strong in the mid-range (I am a low mezzo soprano), but I manage three and a half octaves in range. I also spent two years as a radio DJ in college.

Additional Skills

I teach English and have been doing so for close to three years. I have been trained in voice, so if you have a part that combines speaking with singing, please consider me. (Extracts from two songs have been uploaded as demos.) I have worked in sales, relationship management, technical support, and have experience being a master of ceremonies. Finally, I am flexible and learn very quickly, and I am friendly (so I get along with many people).
