Voice Description

Currently my voice is used for narration/announcing for mostly LIVE audiences. While using a script, live situations are fluid and often demand improv and segways. Voice work is a perfomance/acting situation. If you provide me with the script, I would be more than glad to perform for you with your requirements. If I could not do what you request, I would tell you promptly and not waste your time.

My Voice Experience

Most of my work has been as a Public Address (PA) announcer for sporting events including High School football and basketball(Bowling Green, Ohio)(1999-current),university men's and women's soccer (Bowling Green State University). I have been a reader of the class role at graduation and student testing situations (ACT) and narrated symphonic band concerts.

My Training

My training has been 'on-the-job' and has been mostly volunteer work. I recently retired from my primary career as a high school teacher and am marketing a primarily narrator's/PA announcer's voice but if you gave me the script with your intent, I could quickly tell you if I could do the job. My primary career as a teacher has helped me develop not only a clear, well timed voice but a distinguished and interesting sounding voice that has helped me keep teenage students attentive. Live announcing with minimal mistakes demands concise and careful preparation and the ability to assess situational changes during the activity and then be flexible with the original script to accommodate the new situation. I can do that for you.
