My Voice Experience

I have voice over experience in radio/TV with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Global TV in Western Canada, and commercial spot use as a staff musician with Mid-Ocean Studios, also in Canada. I also hosted a TV series and a radio series (location recordings and live studio) in Canada. (1989-1997) Due to the CBC mandate, the subject matter was diverse and varied.

My Training

I learned how to do voice-overs from on-the-job training. I was a staff recording musician/composer at the CBC and a producer heard my voice in the studio one day. He asked me to do a radio spot, and I got more voice-over work from that spot. I have been a professional recording musician/producer for a number of years and have extensive experience in all factes of recording music and voice.

My Studio Equipment

Mac dual/quad G5-based, Logic Studio with numerous plug-ins for orchestral and pop instrumental samples. M-Audio keyboard and A/D interfaces with Roland V-Drum kit/direct audio recording. 3-way Mackie monitoring system w/room EQ. Rode K2 microphone/iso booth for voice recording.

Additional Skills

I am also a film/TV music composer, and for a number of years was a staff recording musician and producer for the CBC in Canada. I am accustomed to working on differing projects under (sometimes very) tight deadlines.

I have many years experience in the recording industry and I am a quick study. I don't like to waste any client's valuable time.
