Voice Description
I have a strong, confident, deep male voice. I can range my voice from deep and baritone to light and "child-like." English is my primary language, but I can also deliver Spanish. I spent several years in radio broadcasting, so I can present my voice in a professional, presentational manner. I can deliver dramatic, "gravitas" performances; goofy characters; and obnoxious, smarmy voices. With my Spanish-speaking background, I can record different accents like the "urban-Latino" accent, the "Scarface Tony Montana" accent or the smooth "Antonio Banderas" accent.

My Voice Experience
"My sister calls your answering machine just to listen to your voice." It wasn't the first time I'd heard I had a nice voice (earlier in my youth, I had done some stage acting and was told I projected well, even if I didn't sing very well). I was 19, and my then-girlfriend described to me about how her sister and her co-workers would call my dorm room when they knew I was in class, just to listen to my answering machine message. I didn't pay it much attention at the time, but it was nice to know. Later in my college years, while taking film classes, I was asked by my crew to voice over the film I had just directed. It was a standard student film with no sound, but we felt it needed a narration... I was chosen. When other classmates heard the finished product, I was given the task of narrating several projects. I had the time of my life. I continued this practice throughout college with several projects. I also hosted two seperate radio shows where I varied my delivery. The one program was a talk-show format, so I was myself. The other program was a standard music show, so I did my best "Radio DJ" impersonation, and even friends could not tell that it was me. I'd also been contacted by a local independent professional wrestling organization that video-taped their events for sale to do the voice-over commentary. It was my opportunity to do a little acting as I portrayed the obnoxious "bad guy" wrestling announcer. Post-college I found a job at AccuWeather, where I was hired as a Radio Broadcaster to deliver weather forecasts to clients around the country.
So in short, my credentials read as follows:
*Acting, Narration
*Acting, Characters
*Broadcasting, Disc Jockey
*Broadcasting, Talk Show
*Broadcasting, News/Weather
*Narration, documentary
My Training
I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Telecommunications.
Relevant Courses included: Basic Filmaking, Film Theory, various Foreign Language Film Courses, Television Production, Screenwriting, Dramatic Acting, Performing Arts, Video Editing, Sound Editing, Film Editing, Radio Broadcasting
I interned at WRSC, 1390 AM in State College, a talk-radio station. While I didn't record anything myself, I learned more sound editing techniques and applied them to radio teasers and promos.
When working for AccuWeather, I was trained further how to use my voice to deliver the weather forecasts. We also had one-on-one seminars with a voice coach every 6 months to further develop our skills.
I also took acting classes and had acting jobs.
