Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Scottish (think trainspotting) , proper English (UK)(BBC style), southern, cockney English, Texan (both old blue-collar rancher, as well as young redneck), Australian, New York Cabbie, Surfer guy (like spicoli from fast times at ridgemont high), the clueless David Putty (seinfeld) guy, The cliche Movie announcer guy (think of every action/horror movie trailer you have ever seen), the over the top fast talking strip club DJ guy, and the two i get asked to perform the most, the Monster Truck ralley guy (you know, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!) and the smarmy Phil Hartman-esque radio commercial voice.
My Voice Experience
I have not been in the field for long, but have had the opportunity to do several different kinds of voice-over jobs in the short amount of time that i have. I have performed numerous pieces for several local bands, the style ranging from 'dungeon master' narration on a heavy metal record to being a 'sports announcer' for a hip hop record. As a musician, I have had hundreds of hours of studio experience, as well as hosting my own podcast, hosting a local Salt Lake television show called 3.2 percent, and doing several different character voices for the 'Truth against Tobacco' campaign commercials. I have also done radio spots for two local radio programs using my australian and scottish accents.
My Training
I have been performing music and learning the ropes at a local studio called Hobart for several years now. My experience in the studio, both musically and voice-over related is fairly well versed.
My Studio Equipment
The only voice related recording that i do out of my own home is my movie review podcast, which i record with the built-in microphone on my IMAC, although i have become well versed in editing and mixing on the Garage Band program from my musical endeavors.
Additional Skills
Songwriting, singing and acting.
