Voice Description
My voice has been described as resonant. I have worked on quite a few industrial Video's
for the United States Marines and Pfizer, but having said that, I have also done promo type spots for MCI Worldcom Norelco and Contintental airlines that have been on the lighter side. For the past few years, I have been working with a number of television affiliates around the country doing their news topicals and thirty second spots. So my voice can change depending upon the spot and how I approach it.

My Voice Experience
I have been in the biz for about 12 years running. When I was in college, my father's assistant would tell me that I should do something with my voice. I didn't pay any attention. When I was in sports Marketing, the president of the company told me that I should pursue Broadcasting. I finally listened.
My Training
When I first started, I was with Ron Martin who essentially taught me close to everything that one would need to know about Voiceover, including dealing with Casting people and the need for variability, which is what you need to bring to the table during an audition. I also did scene work with Susan Greenhill and Martin Leplatney which helped free myself in a sense.
I decided to switch gears, mainly because of a recommendation from a friend. Ron had other commitments and wasn't able to teach, which gave rise to me working with Marla Kirban, a former agent out of L.A.
Marla has been great because she has put a different twist on reading copy, describing how one's opinion linked with one's personality is one of the main differences in booking the job and not. So, having said that, I made a new Demo with her and have a new website.
My Studio Equipment
I have a Macintosh G4 with Pro Tools and an MBox 2.
Additional Skills
In 1987, I worked in Politics in New York. I was on the phone constantly speaking to constituents, heads of agencies, etc. I always felt that the years that I spent in this field trained me to do what I am doing now.
I had been forever introducing myself to people on the phone and telling them who I was with and what I needed done. After awhile, I became pretty comfortable doing this and when the time came to make calls to Advertising agencies and Production Companies, it wasn't nearly as traumatic an experience as I thought. So there you have it.
