Voice Description

Ever since I was a kid, I always have loved creating/acting out charcters and voices for fun. Whether it was to make my friends laugh or for my own entertainment, like commentating a baseball game on tv with the volume down, I have always known my voice to be very unique. When I was 16, my girlfriend-at-the-time's mom listened to our phone conversations just because she swore my voice was the sexiest she ever heard...big deal, I know but she was still married! No big deal but this is the day I learned the appreciation women had for my voice. A life long singer, I have sang in various pitches and keys and have been able to match a sound I hear with my voice until its exact. When I picked up a guitar 5 years ago and really started to create/find my sound musically, I realized how much (high to low and everything in between) control I have. Whatever the job entitles ( commercials, narratations, radio spots, etc) I am at the upper most level of confidence that what I deliver is both clear and new and exactly what you are looking for.

My Voice Experience

I am extremely interested in getting my voice career started. I am looking to use my skills and talent in a creative way in order to surpass all expectations set prior. I am fresh out of college (24), so I have not yet had a job geared towards expanding the creativiity of my voice. However, in college, I did have to produce a sixty second radio spot for the "soft foam pillow" by Homedics in my Advertising Campaign class (see sound file). It was a group project, but I knew exactly the part of duties I wanted. I took over the role of producing the commercial myself and created a whole scene, with comedy, 2 characters and personalities, narration and music. It was voted to be the best in class, and as humble as I can be, that is where I know I am.

My Training

I have a Bachelors of Science, Graphic Arts Degree from the Art Institute of California-San Diego which was a 4 year program from which I studied communications, presentation, self-promotion, Advertising, campaigns, etc. religiously. I also produce my own music at home because I like transforming my music's first recordings, into a stereo-mastered, album-ready sound.
My and my buddy used to do 5 min news bulletins where we recorded ourselves doing fake, comedic news bits based off of local news stories we thought were the stupidest most idiotic stories available.

Additional Skills

I enjoy meeting and communicating with someone new everyday. My friends describe me as the "gentle giant", someone who is could befriend all. I pride myself in understanding fully what someone is talking to me about and if I don't, I will ask. My word is very important to me so I always keep it - Say what you mean, mean what you say.
