Voice Description
Serious ranger, contented everyman, intimidating villain. I can also do a matter-of-factly voice somewhat like a scientist. Great vocal range and I am willing to do musical parts or singing.
I've also done comic parts because of a lisp, which I can choose or choose not to use in my performances. For some characters, it gives an extra added feeling (Ikea commercials, anyone?)
English is my native language and I'm learning Mandarin Chinese. I once spoke German and French, and given enough time to prepare, I could speak in either, or even Cantonese.

My Voice Experience
First I will give my experience by the latest three productions I was involved in.
"Reason Taken Prisoner" Winter 2005 - Small play on campus - Played a minor role, 'Jacques'
"Infatuation: McCreary Manitoba" Summer 2005 - A Musical that toured Ontario - Acting & Singing, (Web Design, Video Editing) played lovable loser Phil; often got the most applause in the show.
(in process of being removed)
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" Spring 2005 - High School Production - In Grade 12, only male to qualify for First Choir
Now I have been involved in countless productions, both as an actor/singer or filmer/mixer or even as a producer/writer. I've been involved in stage-style drama since grade 4. I really like the idea of voice acting because instead of making the entire character, you give life to a character that already exists. If it's a bodiless commercial narrator or a running, jumping attacking anime character, they're both characters that are trying to convince you of the truth.
"Our product is superior" or "the real conflict between humankind and (insert daily nemesis here)". Though I had great tonal range before starting Chinese, learning Chinese has given me a chance to sharply increase my tonal control and (strange as it may seem) through studying mouth movements for chinese pronunciations, I learned to harden or soften pronunciations in english more powerfully as well.

Additional Skills
I love Japanese anime and cartoons, but I'm also an avid fan of a well-done commercial. The product or service doesn't make a big difference to me if the commercial is well produced.
Taking Tech Media and working with video since then has allowed me to truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into any project.
I'm very energetic and open-minded, I highly look forward to doing auditions for voice work or voice overs intended for cartoon audiences or television commercials.
