My Voice Experience

From broadcasting experiance, it was suggested that voice- over's is a field I should consider. Under the supervision of Steve Garrin, an expert, I created several demonstation reels for his studio, to be used as instructional devices.
Also, I was the voiceover in five separate stories in a book-on-CD titled:"Emotional Sobriety", a compilation of short story's from "The Grapevine" magazine. Characters included a young prisoner, an old prisoner, an old New England intellectual, a divorced man and an overly- talkative man.

My Training

My field of expertise has always been in sales, with a working knowledge of broadcasting. I earned a B.A. in Psychology from CU Boulder in '03, and this knowledge along with the ability to think critically and assess situations have helped immensely in any endeavor I undertake. With expertise guidance from the owner of VideoActive Productions, I've been working ever since in refining the voice- over art and training my voice. In college I gave tours in the Boulder History Museum, and also participated in an anti- drug and alcohol program at Harry S. Truman High School in Co-op City, Bronx; delivering many talks to classes ranging from 9th to 12th grade.

Additional Skills

After college, (B.A. Psychology, University of Colorado), I went directly into sales. Working for a marble & granite company, a packaging company, and a roofing company, with knowledge of the stock market as well, sales became a central focus in my life. Additionally, marketing has always been akin to a pastime for me- always critiqueing, learning, marveling at various add campains, clever promotions and unforgettable demonstrations. A radio junkie, the inflections of voice during shows and advertisements are always something I notice and learn from.
