My Voice Experience

I have been recording friends' outgoing voicemail greetings since I was a teenager; my voice has always been one of my greatest assets.

While in university, I hosted news programmes and recording advertising spots for WHRB Harvard Radio, and was the presenter of VOIX, the official podcast series of the Minda de Gunzburg Centre for European Studies at Harvard University.

In 2006, I started Gadfly, Harvard's first and only student news and opinion podcast, which I hosted for a year.

Harvard Din & Tonics - sang bass in Harvard's signature all-male a cappella group from 2004-2006, and served as General Manager in 2005-2006. Over 300 performances with the group, in more than 20 countries on 4 continents. Recorded on the group's twelfth album, "Hint of Lime," released 2008.

VoxJazz - sang bass in Harvard's elite vocal jazz quintet from 2006-2008. Dozens of performances. The group will release its second album in 2009.

Additional Skills

I have outstanding writing and editing skills; I served as an editorial columnist for The Harvard Crimson from 2005 to 2008, and was twice nominated for "Best College Paper Columnist of the Year" by U.S. News & World Report. In 2008, I was selected as one of the 100 best student journalists in America by UWIRE.

From 2002-2004, I was a member of the Canadian Schools Debating Team, which competed internationally. The team won the Pan-American Debating Championships in 2002, and reached the quarter-finals of the World Schools Debating Championships in Lima, Peru, in 2003. I served as the team's Captain at the 2004 World Schools Debating Championships, where we placed ninth. As a competitive debater, I perfected my vocal presentation and public speaking skills.

I presently work full time as a policy analyst at the United Nations World Food Programme.

I pride myself on maintaining a high level of professionalism, dedication, and industry in all of my endeavours.
