Although I don't have experience with any sort of professional coaching or jobs pertaining to voice, I think that my voice is dynamic and clear. I'm currently a waiter and obviously oratory skills are required when dealing with so many people. I honestly don't know how many times I've been told by customers that I should go into radio. In fact on one occasion a man told me that I have a great radio voice and that I should look into it. I told him in turn that he had a great radio voice as well and told him that he should do the same. He then informed me that in fact he has been on the radio for years. Obviously this person made me think about it more than the dozens of other strangers who have told me the exact same thing. That is not to say that I am looking for broadcasting work alone. Any sort of job where my voice would be essential is desired.
I think my interest in music is helpful in this industry. I played the trumpet for almost a decade and became quite proficient at it. I believe that the ability to hear tones and pitches is essential in the voice industry. To be able to speak at different pitches requires the ability to mimic a tone accurately, whether speaking or singing.
I would have to say that while I don't have any experience in this field,I am willing to do what it takes to start gaining as much experience as I can. I know that I have to start somewhere and would be eager to do so. I was a quality assurance lead tester for the largest outsourced video game testing facility in the world for two years. The company is called Absolute Quality Inc. I am familiar with the production process of this type of media. Voice overs play a large role in many of the games that I oversaw in the testing and development process.
I am a very fast learner and take direction very well. I believe that I would adhere to any standard set forth by the overseer of a project with no qualms.
