I am a child at heart and love to have fun! My voice can range from a smart (Tech talk) or ditzy teenager (Valley Girl talk). I love to mimick the laugh of the Wicked Witch of the West or any type of Witch.
My professional and mature voice comes from many years of meetings in my current profession. This part is smooth, melodic and captivating and yet demands an audience's attention. Yes, I can be serious and absolutely technical and logical.
My voice is pleasant and can be resoundingly sexy. My laugh is contagious with a few snorts in between.

My Voice Experience
I have not done any formal recordings except for my own voicemail recordings at work and at home. Even when I do answer the phone and I choose to act like I am an answering service, people cannot distinguish if the voice is a live person or voicemail. I love it!
Odd enough, when I am serious and focused at work and I answer the phone, I have been told that I sound like a 1-900 number ... oh gosh... yes, I must admit that I turn red at times... and yes, I get teased a lot about this.
My Training
University of Phoenix required us to do presentations on almost a weekly basis. This provided me more experience in presenting myself in a professional manner and learn how to project my voice and deliver my messages and goals accordingly.
I have been known to have a pleasant voice especially when I was working at a Help Desk / Call Center for Information Technology. I have several awards for customer service. This information can be disclosed upon request.

Something Personal:
When it comes delivering and presenting our voices, my sister and I were trained by our father, Ret. Army LTC, Charles Burton, he likes to be referred as such :) He will be 94 this June 2006.
He trained us to speak and emote from different plays, particularly, Shakespearian in nature. We both started at the young tender age of 9 and 5 accordingly. From there, we have been avid readers and learned how to use our voices as a life skill.
My sister, Joyce Ann Burton, has been in the broadcasting industry for many years (Radio and TV). Here she is in one of here stints at CBN Asia:
We were told that our voices sound distinctly similar. I believe that the talent exists within our DNA.
